Intro the topic I have researched and will be explaining today is ... How does forestry affect our environment?
Why? I chose this topic because I was curious on what possibly irreversible damage could come from work dedicated to destroying forests for profit.

I have compiled all of my notes into a brief explanation of the damage this workforce can bring, lets begin!
Forests provide wildlife sanctuary, and removing that by forestry will inevitably destroy it. They even help remove greenhouse gases, and by removing the forests is a waste of a good defense.
Forests also prevent lots of harmful things, such as reducing soil erosion, preventing climate change, and most important of all: protecting our wildlife and resources.
What people don't understand, is that by removing our forests, It affects the local & regional hydrological regime, adding more co2, causes problems for indigenous people, induces flooding and creates fewer crops.

Other side affects of deforestation includes: unsustainable forest management, overgrazing due to farms., infrastructure development (roadbuilding, urban sprawl, etc.) and more!
But wait ... there's more!

| In conclusion... |
Forestry in retrospect is a very harmful procedure. Yes, it may be many families support and allows them to live comfortably, but in doing so we are destroying a gift from nature itself. Once we have gone past the point of no return, what will we do in a situation where all of our forests are gone?
